    Claudia holds a Bachelors in Fine Arts from University of California at Irvine. She has been the principal of Interplan Designs interior design firm in Cambria, CA since 1986. Currently, she is the principal designer for EcoPlanners,LLC. Claudia has been an adjunct instructor at Cuesta College since the fall of 1997 and has held the position of lead instructor for interior design from 1999-2009. Claudia is past president of C.C.I.D. (Central Coast Interior Designers). She held the gavel for the North Coast Advisory Council for six years and has sat on several committees and advisory boards. Claudia is a California GA (Green Advantage) building professional and LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional). She is a committee member of C4, the local chapter of the USGBC, SLO Green Build, CASBA (The California Straw Bale Association, and CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) certification. She has been named chairperson for the 2012 Green Awards.

    Jeane brings a unique mixture of internet marketing, residential design experience as well as extensive knowledge of Universal Design applications to EcoPlanners,LLC. She serves as the Fundraiser Chair for the ASID student chapter at California State University Northridge where she will be completing her interior design degree in Spring of 2010. Most recently, Jeane set up a successful internship program for design students interested in set design in Los Angeles. She received the LEED Accredited Professional certification from the U.S. Green Building council (USGBC) in June of 2009 and is currently pursuing CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) through NAHB (National Association of Home Builders). She is committed to staying abreast of all the cutting edge materials and products for universal design.

    A licensed architect since 1988, Mary has taught for nine years in the Construction Management and Architecture Departments at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She has helped establish several start-up companies, four of which were green companies. One of these--tru2earth--won the "Green Building" category at the 2009 Clean Tech Open. She is also a commissioner for the California Architectural Board and, since 2004, an active volunteer for SLO Green Build. Mary is a Title 24 Consultant and has CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) certification.

    As an EcoPlanner, Mary is in charge of publications, networking and architectural consultations, and has co-authored The Guide to the Galaxy.

    Lauren Bell Biography

    Lauren Bell is certified by the Green Business League as a Green Consultant in the focus area of Operations & Maintenance and by Green Advantage. She is the owner of GLO-Bell Consulting, a firm dedicated to helping people transition into Greener Lifestyles & Occupations. Lauren performs comprehensive assessments which act as baselines for the development of Custom Sustainability Plans and includes specific actions to save money and reduce your planetary footprint. These plans work complimentary to remodels or large energy installation systems.  Green consulting requires a commitment to staying in the forefront of new strategies and technologies so that we can bring our clients the best money-saving options, resources and cooperative buying options.     Allyson is a member of the National, California and San Luis Obispo Association of Realtors. Her business focuses on helping clients buy and sell green properties. She is a certified EcoBroker, designated Green Certified Realtor from the National Association of Realtors and certified Green Building Professional by the California Department of Real Estate. Allyson is an enthusiastic full-time, full service Realtor who believes in community involvement and loves living on the Central Coast . She is either currently or has recently served as the Co-Chair for the SLO Association of Realtors Green Committee, Education Chair for the local chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors, Board member for Ecoslo, the Earth Day Alliance and an active Master Gardener. She came to San Luis Obispo 15 years ago to attend Cal Poly and decided to stay after receiving her degree in Soil Science.

    Pat Howard holds a BA in Interior Design from Michigan State University and a Masters of Science degree in Architecture from Cal Poly State University and has been a Certified Interior Designer in California since 1993. She ran a successful interior design business as a partner at Howard and Judd Interior Design from 1981-1998. Until 2002, Pat was principal at her own firm, Howard Design Group. During her career, Pat has specialized in commercial design and space planning; working on banks, restaurants, healthcare facilities, office buildings and hospitals. Pat taught at Cal Poly State University for two years and was awarded teacher of the year by the student chapter of A.S.I.D. Currently, she teaches at Cuesta College, where she has been teaching architectural drafting and space planning since 1995.

    Larry Santoyo, founder of EarthFlow Design Works, brings 20 years teaching experience to the world-wide Permaculture Movement. Larry Santoyo is among the most experienced Permaculture Designers and Educators in the US and has taught environmental design at colleges and universities nationwide including UC Berkeley and California State PolyTechnic University.
